Website Goals & Objectives-Do you have any?

“A website without objectives is like going on a trip without a destination. How will you know when you’ve arrived?”

There are many good reasons for building a website but it is important that your goals are clear. Your goals and objectives is what will determine the content and the design of your site.  Every website will have different objectives  and goals such as:

  • Build product brand awareness
  • To market detailed product information
  • To target international communities
  • Provide the latest new product or service information to customers
  • Market yourself
  • To make money from an online business
  • Generating new sales or leads
  • Establish a connection with your target audience
  • Growing an opt-in subscription list
  • Improve communications with your customers and prospects

Take a some to really think about your goals for your website…break them down into long-term and short-term goals. Once you have a plan for your site, you will be  to take that “trip” and you will know exactly when you’ve arrived!
