Tell us about your business: I help busy women on-the-go combine their passion for fashion with their desire for organization. Based on Proverbs 31, Thirty-One Gifts believes in celebrating, encouraging and rewarding all women. We offer such a wide variety of purses, totes, bags, organizational items, kid’s products and more. Best of all, make most of our products uniquely your own with our versatile personalization options

What inspired you to start your business: When I first joined Thirty-One, I honestly just wanted a bunch of cute bags with my name on them. But then I saw how much people LOVED these products and I thought that I would give it a go. The response has been overwhelming and I love every single bit of being a Thirty-One Gifts consultant.

Share one business goal you have: My goal for 2010 is to continue to grow my business and share this fabulous opportunity with other women who are trying to gain financial peace and contribute to their families through a home-based business.

What would you say contributes to your success: I definitely think that so much of my success stems from the fact that I am truly passionate about my products and my company. It’s so easy to sell something you love, and I am so blessed to work with a wonderful home office that is dedicated to putting out the best products with phenomenal customer service. I’m proud to be a part of this company, and I think that shows to my customers and hostesses.

What advice would you like to offer other women/moms who are thinking about starting a business: Find something you love and work it hard. Don’t ever start a business with a product you are not passionate about, just because you think it’ll be easy money. There is no such thing as easy money, everything worth it takes time, and if you have a product you love and enjoy, that will show and you will have so much more long term success. Good luck!

What is your favorite tool/resource you use for your business: Without a doubt, I would be absolutely lost without a great calendar system to keep track of who I need to talk to when, my parties, and everything else about my business. I love Outlook Calendar, because I can access it from any of my computers, as well as my phone, so my schedule is always at my fingertips.
