Tell us about your business:
Jewels by Park Lane is a family owned debt free business starting by Shirley and Arthur LeVin. Our jewelry is crafted after designer-style fashion jewelry such as Tiffany, Cartier and other top designers. We have the best host and customer programs in the industry that provides great savings for the customer and Free jewelry for the host.

What inspired you to start your business?
Being a women in the business world the easier way to update and change your wardrobe is by accessorizing with jewelry. I have always had a love the the bling and gems, this is a perfect fit,  plus I actually get more for my Bucks with Park Lane customer bonus plan than if I brought it in a major dept store.

What has been the biggest challenge in your business and how have you dealt with it?
Biggest challenge is to get people to believe in themselves that you can make money in direct sales, and to try the business . We challenge them to take a test drive for 6 weeks because it only cost $5.00 to join, because they have nothing to lose and if they decide that it is not for them , at least they have $1000 in Free jewely.

What would you say has contributed to your business success?
A business in a bag for only $5.00 bucks. During this economic times people don’t have a lot of money to invest but they do want to start a business.

What advice would you like to offer to other women/moms who are thinking about starting a business?
Find your passion, do your research, attending some parties to see how the rep conducts the shows.

What is your favorite tool/resources you use for your business and why?
I look for networking/social groups to join, because these can be great for exchanging ideas, creating opportunities, party swaps and also doing vendor events.
