What inspired you to start your business?
When my son was a child, I had to kneel down a lot. I thought it would be cute to have a cute kneeling pad w/ fabric that I can grab to use in the house changing him or lying him down on it and stretching him, putting it in my diaper bag and using it at hotels when bathing him and of course keeping it in the bathroom where I bathed him. Cute for the home, Comfy on your knees!
What has been the biggest challenge in your business and how have you dealt with it?
Most websites are geared for baby, and this is a baby item, but it’sfor MOM. It’s challenging finding website that are ‘MOM CREATED FOR MOM’ They are out there, just hard to find. I would love to have more visits at my websites, but moms/dad don’t type in kneeling cushions for google search. Trying to find spring and holiday boutiques too.
What would you say has contributed to your business success?
Finding mom blogs, baby boutiques and just lots of hours researching and emailing boutiques.
What advice would you like to offer to other women/moms who are thinking about starting a business?
Start small so you know what you are doing first. You can always addmore. I made about 150 of my kneeling cushions. I didn’t want to make 1000. Learn about social networking and just keep plugging away.
What is your favorite tool/resources you use for your business and why?
Twitter and facebook helps. Mommy blogs and now going to preschools where I can try to promote them.

Of course more sales would be nice.
